At Beyond The Spectrum ABA Therapy (BTS), we believe that therapy should go beyond the classroom. That’s why we created the BTS Life Skills Academy, a vibrant, hands-on learning space where children can safely explore and practice essential everyday skills.
Designed to mirror the real world, our academy features a realistic cityscape complete with crosswalks, stop signs, traffic lights, sidewalks, and even storefront setups. This immersive environment helps children learn how to navigate daily routines like crossing the street, grocery shopping, visiting a doctor’s office, and more.
Every element of the space is intentionally designed to support:
• Independence: Children gain confidence performing tasks on their own.
• Communication: Real-world scenarios encourage spontaneous language and social interaction.
• Problem-Solving: Kids learn how to respond to real-life challenges in a safe, structured setting.
• Functional Skills: Activities focus on hygiene, safety, money handling, and community participation.
